February Progress

Not much to take pictures of for what has been happening over the past few weeks. They mostly have just been working inside on plumbing and electric but we did get a brand new roof! It makes a huge difference to have it all new and matching. Of course we had a few days of snow which stopped work but after the snow melted and we got back to normal, they continued working on the plumbing and electric. We ordered our plumbing fixtures for the Master Bath and those should be in soon! The windows have been ordered and should be here this week and then the Hardie plank will be ordered and done after that.

We spent the whole weekend two weeks ago hauling off all the old lumber. They had saved the wood so we could go through it, save what we wanted and burn the rest. We saved some great boards to repurpose inside the house and also saved a couple boards that had been marked with my great-grandfather's name. Those were awesome finds, buried deep inside the exterior walls of the orginial structure and had been marked with his name for the delivery of the wood when the house was built almost 100 years ago!

After we hauled all the old lumber off, we had this year's first bon fire in the back yard! We even think we might have made glass because it was burning on top of sand. :)
