Long Time No Write

So I have been informed by BOTH my siblings that I am failing at this blog thing if I don't update it regularly and that is has been almost 2 months since posting anything. Opps! So as not to be a failure, I am updating the blog. There are many reasons I have been slack but mostly its because not much is happening to visualize. Okay, maybe that's not entirely accurate since now that I am looking over pictures and I realize that we have done a lot since March.
Lets see-we got new windows, the outside was insulated and then wrapped in felt. The rooster tails on the roof were enclosed to match the apartment roof. Then the new Hardie plank cement siding was put up. The front porch floor was re-installed with most of the old floor and then just one area that was rotten and needed to be replaced. We had new side doors and a fake front door installed (the real front door is solid wood and is being made and won't be put in until a few weeks before we move). We also have had the plumbing, electric, HVAC, security and central vac systems inspected and approved! We have made final decisions on the wall finishes (4 foot wainscot with chair-rail, v-edge tongue and groove, drywall or a combo) and are deciding on master bath shower finishes. So as you can tell, we have still been plugging along and are slowly but surely making steps towards a finished product. The next big step, which starts tomorrow, is that they will start insulating the walls on the inside and then will start the drywall installation.
