After a much long awaited 2 years, we have finally moved into our beautiful newly renovated house! Of course we still have much to do but who is ever done with house work? :) The past week was filled with lots of firsts and a lot of hard work.
After deciding it was too hot to sleep in the apartment again without AC, we moved over our master bedroom on Saturday night and spent our first night in the new house. William happened to come by to see if we needed help with anything and so he and my dad helped Dan move our master bedroom suite over and we packed a bag of essentials. It felt like we were on vacation in that huge bedroom and bathroom and with everything so nice and fresh and pretty.
Sunday-Wednesday we moved the rest of our stuff over and set up the other rooms of the house.
Monday afternoon our appliances were delivered and installed so on Tuesday morning, we cooked our first offical meal (breakfast) in our new kitchen. That was awesome. I LOVE my new range and fridge! It is absolutely amazing to have all that space to work with and cook on. Dan and I can even be in the kitchen at the same time without bumping in to each other. :)
On Tuesday we also said goodbye to Time Warner Cable and hello to Direct TV. I know my dad is very happy about that.
And tonight, on the 6th anniversary of the night we got engaged, Dan and I had our first date night which consisted of a homecooked dinner and hanging out in our new living room watching Survivor. :)
Thanks to everyone who has helped us these last few days-both moms and dads (we couldn't have done any of this without all of you), William, the Woods, and a special thanks to Jimmy Myers for all his hard work and dedication to our beautiful kitchen!
I will post pictures as soon as our Internet is up and running on Friday at the new house.
